Don Chynoweth
Senior Vice-President, Defence and Logistics
Since 2003, Don is the Senior Vice President, Defence Programs for SNC-Lavalin O&M. He is responsible for the overall operations of Defence Programs, Business Development in Western and Northern Canada, International Business Development in Logistics functions, as well as developing Aboriginal Initiatives. He is also an Executive Member of the CANCAP Joint Venture for the deliverance of Logistical Support Services to the Department of National Defence’s peacekeeping efforts worldwide, currently in Afghanistan and previously in Bosnia-Herzegovina, and is part of the SNC-Lavalin O&M Executive Management team co-leading the corporation to continuing success and growth in the business. Don is also a member of the SNC-Lavalin Group Executive Committee.
With over 20 years of experience, Don has been with various organizations in different capacities, which include Principal, President of NORLINX INC., Executive Vice-President of ATCO FRONTEC, Director of Business and Government Affairs, Executive Assistant with Government of Canada, and President of Compass Management.
Don has earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and has also successfully completed the Executive Management Program at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
